Our Director Kevin King Accepting the position of Musical Director in February 2016, Kevin King is a long-time Chorus of the Chesapeake Member. He brings a lifetime of professional musical experience to the chorus. With more than 36 years teaching vocal and general music education in Baltimore County and Carroll County schools, he currently teaches vocal music at Calvert Hall College. He has extensive experience as a church musician, soloist, and choir director. He also has performed in several countries and 35 states across the U.S. Kevin has earned several honors in the Barbershop Harmony Society, singing in several quartets over the years. His quart “BSQ,” received five consecutive bronze medals. He also has served as a certified singing judge at regional and international competitions. The son of Fred King, an icon in the Barbershop Harmony Society and director emeritus of the Chorus, Kevin brings a drive and entertainment value of the chorus and continues the chorus tradition of fine singing and musicality.
